Literature Review
Today, there are psychological
tests to determine the interest and talent of high
school students who will continue their studies in college. Various kinds of innovations
developed psychological tests along with the times. These tests include psychological tests
of intelligence (IQ), aptitude tests and interest
tests. Intelligence tests (IQ) is intended to
measure general intelligence ability
to learn to understand the problem - new problems
and solve them properly.
This aptitude test aims to find a strong indication of the weakness of a person on a particular area of
expertise. The test aims to
measure of interest what kind of work that desired by
someone. But these psychological tests have
some disadvantage, the psychological
test end expensive cost and the
results are not necessarily
satisfactory.
The concept is applied in this software is proportional logic which in switch case concept. Proportional Logic is a chapter in discrete mathematics. In this case we take the concept of a switch case. By using these concepts, we create a java-based software to be a practical solution in determining the majors in college with a lot of options. With the use of proportional logic, the user is faced with the common choices. After the user selects an option on the options that are still common, the user will be directed at more specific choices and ultimately was found suitable for the user departments. This is consistent with the concept of conditional statements (conditional) on discrete mathematics.
