Introduction

1.1 Background

Most of senior high school student want to continue their next education (university). So, they must have a goal of what major to take in college. But most of high school students are confused about what major that they take in college. It is considered very difficult because most of these high school students do not yet know for certain self-interests and talents, lack of information related to education in college and the large number of departments that have sprung up in college.

If they just have a little bit information of majors in university, they will  choose tend to obey what their parents choice. Or maybe they will affect their friends or just by their feeling. Taking a wrong decision will lead them to a fatal impact later when they entered to the college such as lazy learning achievement declined, quit college or drop out are very harmful to himself.

For solve this problem , the high school students can try psychologies test to know what is their interested and talented. In general, the results of that psychologies test showed that match your interests and talents with the subject are taken at the college someday.
So, this program is important for every student who will continue their studies in university.

1.2 Problem Statement

The problem staemens that arranged on the problems written on the background are:

1)         What is software can help the high school students to make a choice of majors in college ?

2)         How is the implementation of Discrete Mathematics concept in this application to help make he choice of majors in college ?

1.3 Objectives

The goal of this small project is to create software for the system selection decision-making departments at universities to facilitate the high school students  to determining the choice of majors, with the following details:

1)         Create the system selection decision-making departements at universities with Mathematics Discrete consep about the students’s interest and talent

2)   Create an application that allows users in using it so it can be a practical solution in determining the majors in college.

1.4 Scope

Interest and Talent Identifier Application is designed to help high school students 12^th grade or the general public who wish to continue their education into college.

1.5 Benefit

Interest and Talent Identifier Application provides practical solutions to be able to know the majors in college that best matches with the users’s interests and talents. So it can help the high school students who will continue their education to college. So we expect the application can delete the difficulties or low motivation that can hinder their education.
